How to take Zyban?
As is the case for Chantix, it is advisable to start the treatment before quitting smoking and to set a specific date to quit within the first 2 weeks of treatment.
The tablets must be swallowed with a glass of water. They should not be chewed as side effects may occur due to a too quick release into your body. It is a treatment that can be taken during or outside meals.
The duration of the treatment is in most cases from 7 to 9 weeks. Before prescribing Zyban, your doctor must assess your motivation to quit smoking. Real motivation to quit smoking is, in fact, essential to put all the chances on your side when taking this medication.
You must respect the dosage indicated by your doctor. As an indication, the usual dosage is 150 mg per day for the first 6 days and 300 mg per day from the seventh day. Must be taken twice a day (2 x 150 mg), spacing the two doses by at least 8 hours.
It is not recommended to take Zyban at bedtime because it may cause insomnia. If you still have not quit smoking after 7 weeks, your doctor will most likely advise you to stop taking this drug.
If you have taken more tablets than the indicated dosage, it is important to consult your doctor immediately as there is a risk of seizures when overdosed. If you forgot one dose of your treatment Zyban, take the next tablet at the usual time. But never double dose to compensate the missed tablet.
Ingredients and composition

How does this drug work?
Smokers are addicted to nicotine. It acts on your nervous system by connecting to receptors and triggering the release of a chemical messenger called dopamine.
The active ingredient of this drug will act on the chemical messages. It reduces the discomfort felt when trying to quit smoking by inhibiting the recapture of neurotransmitters. Therefore, it will compensate for the dopamine deficiency that occurs during smoking cessation.
Is Zyban really effective?
